TK kilns Heat Soak Test
Oven for the glass testing process after tempering
Ovens for spontaneous glass breakage prevention process
This process is particularly suitable for structural glass and guarantees the reliability and long life of tempered glass. The kiln is manufactured in accordance with European standard EN 14179-1.
The presence of NiS inclusions can cause glass panes to spontaneously break after the toughening process. The Heat Soak Test is used to minimise the risk of such breakage of heat-treated glass. Glass panes are placed inside a chamber and subjected to a temperature of 280° C for two hours. This causes unstable glass containing nickel sulphide inclusions to break.
